MITCHELL’S BACON & BANANA PEPPER PIZZA

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. pizza dough

  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Banana peppers (or jalapeno)
  • Bacon
  • Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced

  • Fresh maple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Use a baking steel or baking stone and heat on high broil for 30 minutes.
  2. Lightly flour a pizza peel before laying out the dough on the peel with an inch of dough hanging over so it grabs the cooking surface and slides off.
  3. Cook bacon in a skillet 3/4 of the way. You don’t want to fully cook it or it will burn in the oven.
  4. Turn the oven to 450° F.
  5. Add shredded cheddar cheese, banana peppers, and bacon to pizza dough.
  6. Place in the oven on desired cooking surface for 5-8 minutes.
  7. Garnish with thinly sliced apples and drizzle with maple syrup before cutting.
